The R&R CMM Fixture is a unique system that uses vacuum cups, clamps and magnets on a universal-design threaded plate to hold parts for measurement on coordinate measuring machines and vision machines.
No more wasting time and money on cumbersome unrepeatable, traditional fixturing such as glue, tape, clamps, or dedicated fixtures which can take longer setting up than it does to check the actual part. With the R&R system parts can be set up within minutes, therefore results are obtained immediately with no down time on the CMM. Do to the alphanumerically labeled fixture, part setups can be documented for future reference therefore obtaining more accurate and consistent setups. Recording and saving setups can be accomplished with a click of the mouse using the R&R Set-Up Program provided with each fixture.

The R&R modular fixturing system is designed for use with vision systems, non-contact CMMs, or multi-sensor machines. It creates a fast, repeatable way to fixture your part consistently each and every time you inspect it, which increases productivity and accuracy. No more wasting time and money on cumbersome part setups that can take longer to set up than checking the actual part. Our modular vision fixtures enhance your vision system for a lifetime of flexibility and repeatability.

There are many components that come in a standard R&R kit, but there are many options; standoffs, magnets, clamps, suction cups, towers, adjustable, and more.

FixtureBuilder© is our 3D fixture modeling software that is integrated with the CAD software from IronCad. FixtureBuilder creates R&R Fixture setups for documenting and creating off-line programming. You don't have to be proficient with CAD to use FixtureBuilder.

Start by selecting your specific R&R base plate then simply click and drag components from the tabbed catalogs onto the plate into the desired positions. FixtureBuilder can be used to document fixture setups with or without a CAD model. If you have a CAD model of your part it can be imported into FixtureBuilder and placed on the fixture components & then exported into your CMM software.
